Adamah Fine Arts has presented a large-scale exhibition entitled Contemporary Art Show, at the Caudan Arts Centre in Port-Louis, île Maurice, organised in partnership with the European network Bel Air Fine Art.
This exhibition brought together a selection of international and Mauritius artists from the programming of Adamah, in a dialogue between different contemporary sensitivities
Presented from 14 to 27 March 2026, the exhibition offered an immersive tour of more than 100 works, blending paintings, sculptures and contemporary compositions.
Curatorial Angle
The exhibition is part of Adamah’s curatorial line: to present contemporary works with a strong visual presence, capable of establishing an immediate relationship with the gaze.
The selection explored different approaches to contemporary creation, from pop art to abstract and urban languages, and put in dialogue internationally recognised artists with the Mauritius art scene.
This encounter between different artistic scenes reflected Adamah’s desire to create bridges between contemporary territories, cultures and sensitivities.
This exhibition was one of the major meetings of contemporary art on the island of Mauritius in 2026, bringing together international artists and Mauritius designers around a large exhibition presented at Caudan Arts Centre.
Through this initiative that brings together more than 100 works, Adamah has affirmed his will to actively contribute to the development of an ambitious and world-open contemporary art scene on Mauritius.
The exhibition has allowed the Mauritius public as well as international visitors to discover a diversity of contemporary artistic expressions in a major cultural site of the country.
The cultural objective
Through this project, Adamah affirmed his ambition to actively contribute to the development and visibility of the contemporary art scene on Mauritius.
By bringing together international artists and local designers in one exhibition space, the exhibition has fostered the encounter between artists, collectors, cultural institutions and the public.
This initiative also helped strengthen Mauritius’ position as an emerging cultural platform in the Indian Ocean.
