Pasquale Di Fazio
Pasquale Di Fazio was born in Lavello (1960), in southern Italy, but has spent most of his life in Milan. A self-taught artist, he turned professional in 1985, painting glorious Italian landscapes for which he has won acclaim. Di Fazio transposes his love of nature onto canvas, evoking the mood and atmosphere of the Italian countryside, and Tuscany in particular, in his own inimitable way.
His abstract style and subtle use of color effortlessly convey the authenticity of landscapes and bring out the country's natural nuances. Di Fazio is currently concentrating on abstract work. His deep understanding of composition and depth allows his paintings to take on a spatial dimension, his fabulous, striking colors bringing extraordinary illumination and a mystical note.
