Eric Ceccarini

Eric Ceccarini, a photographer of Italian origin born in 1965, graduated in photography in Belgium in 1987, where he spent most of his career before moving to Ibiza. With extensive experience in the demanding advertising and fashion sectors, he has worked with prestigious clients, agencies, and magazines such as Elle, Marie-Claire, L'Oréal, Levi's, Coca-Cola, Virgin, Saab, Delvaux, Chopard, Lowe Lintas, and Ogilvy. His talent was recognized with a Silver Lion at the Cannes International Advertising Festival, an award that highlights his technical excellence and unique creative vision. However, beyond this commercial success, Eric has been developing a radically refined personal artistic approach for several years, based on the study of the body in natural light, without any technical artifice—an aesthetic quest where softness, velvety textures, and pictorial dimension transform each image into a living painting.

His artistic influence is based on two major series that embody his visual philosophy. The "Nudes" series (2006), shot exclusively in the natural light of a painter's studio, uses very slow shutter speeds to capture the unique character of each of his models. This technique reveals a sublime sensuality that sometimes borders on abstraction, transcending the simple physical aspect to capture the essence and soul of the female body. Then comes "Amnios" (2008), a series of diaphanous silhouettes in which the models seem to literally float, suspended in a timeless space. The shapes and lines of the bodies unfold with restrained sensuality, concealed or protected by an invisible membrane that separates us from them. The monumental size of the prints is impressive and adds to the contained power of these women, creating an immersive visual experience where photography dialogues with sculpture and classical painting.

Beyond technical virtuosity, Eric Ceccarini embodies the photographer-poet who pays tribute to the beauty of the female body with respect and contemplation. His artistic research never aims to exploit or provoke, but seeks to capture the intangible dimension that makes his models human: their presence, their vulnerability, their inner strength. By favoring natural light and long exposure times, he places his work in the tradition of the masters of painting while exploring the contemporary possibilities of the photographic image. His velvety, almost dreamlike compositions invite the viewer to silently meditate on the beauty, fragility, and timelessness of the human body, transforming each print into a sensory and spiritual experience.
