Nelson Fabiano
Nelson Fabiano was born in 1973 in Portugal. He lives and works in Cannes. A photographer and visual artist, he uses a variety of subjects in his work. He likes to play with material, lines and colours. Emptiness plays a major role in his pieces, which can be appreciated by the heavy mood of some of his paintings. He paints sofas, armchairs, deserted rooms and other places familiar to the man, who seems to have abandoned his paintings.
Nelson Fabiano also uses photos of major cities that he has taken throughout his life. He subjected his photographs to several modifications with paint, reliefs and added collages, etc. His favorite colors are gray, white, and red. His urban paintings have a North American influence and are often reminiscent of New York. Fabiano also works on portraits of celebrities from the 2000s, whose final composition usually has a style similar to Pop Art. Relief so essential in his work. He adds depth and substance to his canvases. Nelson Fabiano is a member of the Taylor Foundation in Paris and the Maison des Artistes Français.
