Yves Cass
Yves Cass was born on January 17, 1947 in Creil. He spent his youth in Trouville s/m, Normandy, and graduated from the Lycée Malherbe in Deauville with a baccalaureate in philosophy in 1967. He attended the École supérieure de journalisme on rue de Rennes in Paris, before working as a journalist until 1975. Yves Cass then lived and worked in Africa for several years.
Yves Cass has been painting since childhood, taking part in numerous exhibitions as an amateur and then as a professional. His work has been listed in the international akoun guide since 1996. A painter, sculptor and ceramist, Cass is also a copper engraver. He creates "mixed media" works on paper, in which elements of his etchings are collaged with old stamps and envelopes, enhanced with pen and ink and anchored with washes. In 2006, his name was listed in WHO'S WHO.
