Adamah Fine Arts exhibition at Anahita. Last weekend, on May 19 and 20, this gallery organized two exceptional evenings in partnership with MCB Private Banking, BMW and Anahita Estate. This was an opportunity to discover the work of 14 internationally renowned artists. To all art lovers, a visit to one of the two Adamah galleries is a must!

EXHIBITION: FRIDAY MAY 19 - LE GRAND COCKTAIL DINATOIRE

17h30. We arrive at Belgath Square in Anahita. Serge Patetta (director and founder of Adamah Gallery) and his partners are waiting for us. We're early, so this is a good opportunity to have a look around before the beautiful people fill the carefully decorated space with life.

Classical music accompanies our tour. Claudie Ricaud, director of the François-Mitterrand Conservatory of Music, has brought along some of her students. We sneak a peek at the works on display, majestic in the tranquility of the two well-lit exhibition rooms.

14 artists exhibiting in the world's leading galleries

Serge Patetta takes the floor and introduces the event, pointing out that the 14 artists on show (painters, sculptors and ceramists) exhibit (for the most part) in the world's leading galleries, in the USA and Asia. Three of the exhibited artists made the trip and talk about their works of art: Marie Marziac, Stéphane Braud and Marina Latta.

Serge Patetta would also like to thank his partners: MCB Private Banking, BMW and Anahita Estate, without whom this major exhibition would not have been possible.

This is the first time in Mauritius that a private gallery has organized such an event on this scale. That said, Mr Serge Patetta has no intention of stopping there. Indeed, this first meeting will be just the beginning of future events.

The speech ended with the unveiling of a large bronze statue weighing 350 kg and standing 2 m high. Mariela Garibay, the artist we introduced a few weeks earlier, has named this work "Touching the Sky". There are only two in the world: one in Mauritius, the other in a major Paris gallery.

"During this next edition, we want to bring together not only a wide range of international artists, but of course Mauritian artists who are numerous on this island and of great quality. Our aim is to showcase and present artists from all horizons to as many people as possible." Serge Patetta
